Top 3 Candle Burning Tips

Candles are the perfect way to unwind after a long day, to add a touch of ambience to your dining space or to cosy up your living room during a Netflix marathon.

The only thing that can ruin the experience is a candle that does not burn as intended. To ensure you never miss a drop of delicious-smelling wax and your candles burn property, we've compiled a list of 3 very easy and simple candle burning tips for you here:

  1. Burn your candle for at least 2 hours (or until the wax reaches the edge of your jar). All candles have a memory and will burn to the width the wax reached on the first burn. This will prevent unnecessary tunneling. Tunneling is when the candle burns a whole through the wax and the extra wax adheres to the edges of the jar for the life of the candle.

  2. Trim your wick to 6mm before you light it. Scissors or your fingers will work fine, but wick trimmers are best. This will eliminate soot or black smoke residue on the sides of your gorgeous candle tumbler.

  3. Check the size of your candle. Make sure the candle you are burning is the appropriate size to the room you are in. Our large candles are 275 so work perfectly in a bedroom or average-sized living space. You may find a smaller candle works better for a smaller room, office or bathroom, as our larger candles may overpower a small space. On the other hand, if you're seeking a candle to fill a large open room with scent you may opt for a triple-wicked extra large candle, or 2-3 Little batch candles. Little batch candles are made to compliment most sized spaces.
